Margraves of Brandenburg-Ansbach (1398-1791)
- Frederick ( 1371 – 1440), Burgrave of Nuremberg as Frederick VI and Elector of Brandenburg as Frederick I. Son of Burgrave Frederick V of Nuremberg , and was the first member of the House of Hohenzollern to rule the Margraviate of Brandenburg.
- George Frederick the Elder ( 1539 - 1603), Margrave of Ansbach and Bayreuth, as well as Regent of Prussia.
He was the last of the older Franconia line of the House of Hohenzollern.
- Joachim Ernst (1583-1625), Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach from 1603.
- Karl Wilhelm Friedrich, (1712 – 1757), Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach, Sovereign of the Ordre de la Sincerité, renamed the order as the Order of the Red Eagle.
- Christian Frederick Charles Alexander ( 1736– 1806) was the last Margrave Brandenburg-Ansbach and Bayreuth. On 1791, Charles Alexander sold his Margravate to Prussia.
