Sir Edwyn assumed the name and arms of Scudamore by Royal Licence in 1815 on inheriting from Frances Scudamore (1750–1820), Duchess of Norfolk, granddaughter of 3rd Viscount Scudamore.

Countess of Chesterfield (1660-1667)

  • Katherine Stanhope, Countess of Chesterfield (1609-1667), born eldest daughter to Thomas Wotton, 2nd Baron Wotton and married Henry, Lord Stanhope (d.1634) eldest son of 1st Earl of Chesterfield and mother of Earl of Chesterfield (1634–1714). Married Jehan van der Kerckhove, Lord of Heenvliet (d. 1660) in 1641 and married (d.1664), eldest son of Con MacNiall O'Neill, Lord of Clandeboye in 1660. Charles II created her Countess of Chesterfield in recognition of her service.
