  • Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1819-1861), later HRH The Prince Consort, husband of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. Son of Ernest I.


  • Alfred, (1844-1900), Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha from 1893 to 1900. Also Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Kent and Earl of Ulster. Second son of Victoria of Great Britain and Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.


  • Charles Edward, (1884-1954), Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha from 1900 to 1918. A male-line grandson of Queen Victoria and , he was also a Prince of the United Kingdom and Duke of Albany.

  • Ferdinand (1861-1948), born Prince Ferdinand Maximilian Karl Leopold Maria of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, was the Knjaz ( Prince Regnant) and later Tsar of Bulgaria, grandson of Prince Ferdinand Georg August.
