  • Joan Canning nee Scott, 1st Viscountess Canning (1777–1837), she was the younger daughter of General John Scott and married George Canning, (1770–1827) Prime Minister of the United Kingdom in 1827. She was raised to the Peerage of the United Kingdom in honour of her husband.
